Poison Tide is a sub-world in Cap Kingdom accessed via a door on the backside of Top-Hat Tower. The level involves capturing a Paragoomba to collect Moon Shards while avoiding poison waves.

Trivia

  • A corner clip can be performed on the right side of the entrance doorway as either Mario or a Paragoomba.[1][2] If performed as a Paragoomba, this allows the level to be explored thoroughly from out of bounds.
    • Viewing the level from out of bounds reveals that the poison waves extend quite a bit past the ends of the level, and makes it apparent that new poison wave objects are periodically spawned in.
    • A death area exists below the level as a failsafe for players who may clip out of bounds, but flying far enough as a Paragoomba makes it possible to fall past the edge of it, resulting in an infinite fall.[3]
