Deepest Underground is a sub-world in Sand Kingdom in which the player fights Knucklotec. The level is initially accessed by going through the loading zone at the end of Underground Temple, but after achieving kingdom peace, one can also jump into a hole that appears in place of the Knucklotec model in the overworld west of the Inverted Pyramid.

Trivia

  • It is possible to reach the arena without capturing a Bullet Bill by using a trickjump.[1] This is useful in various Minimum Captures runs.
  • Although the two tall pillars in the level have collision on top, there is no known way to reach the top of them.[2]
  • It is possible to stand on top of the broken pillar by crashing a Bullet Bill into it and wall jumping onto it.
  • A coin stack consisting of 200 coins can be found atop the level's entrance.[3]
