Magma Swamp
Magma Swamp refers to two variants of a sub-world that involves traversing platforms that periodically rise and sink into lava, found in Luncheon Kingdom and Dark Side. The Luncheon Kingdom is accessed via a door just below the Spewart arena and involves collecting Moon Shards, while the Dark Side version is accessed via a Moon Pipe and involves collecting fruit as Yoshi.

- Proven possible by Grady, it is possible to climb to the top of the wall surrounding the level using a difficult series of dive cancels, which is most easily done along a notch in the wall.[1] Some, but not all, spots along the top of this wall can be stood on without involuntarily sliding off, making it possible to traverse the top of the wall by jumping between these locations.
- An alternate method of getting onto the wall, theorized by Lunaire and proven by JoniKauf, involves trickjumping to a notch in the wall on the left side of the level instead.[2] This method requires much greater trickjumping skill, but fewer dive cancels.
