Captain Toad
Captain Toad is a NPC (Non player character) that appears in all kingdoms EXCEPT Darker Side, Metro Kingdom, Ruined Kingdom, and Cloud Kingdom. The very first time you talk to him he will give you a power moon. To access Captain Toad you must achieve World Peace in a kingdom. Whilst talking to Captain Toad a song will play titled "Toad Brigade Member" that you can unlock while talking to captain toad

| Sand | In the Desert Oasis section of Sand Kingdom (hidden as a fish, must use Lakitu to unlock Captain Toad |
| Lake | Hidden in the bottom of the well you see entering the Water Plaza Entrance |
| Wooded | On a platform operated by the mainland |
| Lost | Hidden in a small cove near the Swamp Hill checkpoint. |
| Snow | Hidden in a small cave covered by snow. |
| Seaside | On a platform above the "Above Rolling Canyon" checkpoint. |
| Luncheon | On a small island of salt near the "Start of the Peak Climb" checkpoint. |
| Bowsers | To the right of the "Outer Wall" checkpoint. |
| Moon | To the right of the Odyssey. |
| Dark Side | On the way up the tower, before you go into the fight, if you keep going up you will go into a hidden room and find Captain Toad. |
