Glitches
- Applying the Randomize feature in the outfit selection screen will randomize both Mario's headwear and outfit independently every time the player dies. However, if Mario purchases an item of clothing from the shop while this feature is active and opts to equip it when the shopkeeper asks, that article of clothing will no longer be randomized, making it possible for either the headwear or outfit to be randomized independently of the other. This causes strange visual glitches when the player owns the 8-Bit Mario Cap and has their headwear set to randomize, but not the outfit (due to buying and equipping a new outfit). If the 8-Bit Mario Cap is randomly selected as the player dies, the game will attempt to apply it simultaneously with the body outfit that was selected. This will generally make Mario's head and hands disappear. Additionally, if Mario is wearing the Skeleton Suit, the 8-Bit Mario Cap will visually appear at Mario's feet.[1] The glitch will remain active until the player dies or enters another area.
