Bruncheon is a trickjump that allows access to the mainland of Luncheon Kingdom before it is unlocked normally. When the trick is performed, the kingdom is in a state where the Odyssey is unloaded, meaning the player is unable to progress past the Luncheon Kingdom. Additionally, certain other elements within the kingdom are not present, such as the capturable slab of meat at the top of the Meat Plateau.

You will need a lot of precision for this trick, expecially if you plan on attempting it in single player mode. The idea for single player goes as follows :
The Bruncheon trickjump is very precise, so one will need to have lots of precision when attempting to execute this trick. The process is as follows:
* Angle yourself properly with first person mode
* Stand near the edge of the platform and, optionally, use first-person camera mode to angle Mario properly;
* Roll cancel close to the edge to keep the most speed
* Roll cancel as close to the edge as possible to retain the most speed;
* Vector perfectly
* Perform a 45-degree vector throughout the duration of the fall;
* Launch cappy at the right time
* When Mario is roughly level with the ground, perform a cap throw and bounce;
* Cappy bounce
* Perform a homing throw and cap return spin for extra distance;
* Rainbow twirl as you get cappy back
* Cap throw and dive onto the lava;
* Dive onto the lava
* Guide Mario onto the platform as he bounces on the lava.
* Hope you have enough life to make it onto the platform
Some players opt to use a triple throw setup, in which they leave Cappy behind for a long period of time after performing the roll cancel off of the painting island. This must be timed perfectly so that Cappy returns to Mario just as Mario needs to perform the cap bounce, but it has the added benefit of the homing throw becoming a triple throw.
