Rocket Flower refresh
A Rocket Flower Refresh is a way of recycling a rocket flower after the timer has ran out. A common misconception is that the term Rocket Flower Refresh only applies to the strategy to obtain the notes moon in seaside that uses a Rocket Flower Refresh, however this is not the case. The seaside kingdom strategy is just an implementation of a Rocket Flower Refresh.
Performance
There are three known methods to perform a Rocket Flower Refresh. The first is the grounpound method. To perform the ground pound method:
- Pick up a rocket flower
- Spinthrow
- Immediately after the spinthrow, perform a groundpound
If done properly, the spinthrow will bring the rocket flower back to mario and the flower will be recycled
The second method is the bonk method. To perform the bonk method:
- Pick up a rocket flower
- Spinthrow
- Immediately after the spinthrow, bonk
If done properly, the spinthrow will bring the rocket flower back to mario and the flower will be recycled
The final and by far the hardest method is the "2 frame method". This method is perfect to only a few frames so it is very difficult to be consistent at it. To perform the 2 frame method:
- Pick up a rocket flower
- Approach a moon
- Spinthrow/Upthrow
- Obtain the moon
If done properly, the spinthrow/upthrow will bring the rocket flower back to mario and the flower will be recycled
