Version 1.0.0 is the initial software version of Super Mario Odyssey. Game cartridges released around the time of the game's launch will feature version 1.0.0 as their base version (which can be upgraded via software), meaning that users with those cartridges can reset to version 1.0.0 by factory resetting their Switch. However, because version 1.0.1 was a day-one patch available from the moment the game was released digitally, it is impossible to acquire a digital copy of version 1.0.0 through normal means.
