Moon clip

Moon Clipping is another very effective way of going out of bounds with the caveat of being a one try trick. Missing it on the first try will make it impossible to retry as we need the Power Moon to get through the wall.

In order to moon clip, you need to execute a backflip and cancel the backflip animation with a capthrow right as you collect the power moon. This will make Mario's animator to be confused as it has to shuffle between 3 different animations and move Mario towards the wall just enough to make it past its collision.

There's a few moon clips that have been found useful in runs :

• Chest Moon Clip (Cascade Kingdom)
• Nut Clip (Wooded Kingdom)
• Snow Moon Clip (Snow Kingdom)

Each of these clips require a slightly different timing
