Chomp Through the Rocks Clip is a spinthrow Instaclip in which the player stands on top of the rock that prevents the player from accessing the Chomp Through the Rocks moon and clips to where the moon is located. This is possible on versions 1.0.0, 1.0.1, and 1.1.0 in normal gameplay, and on versions 1.2.0 and 1.3.0 with assist mode grab abuse.
Execution
- Stand on top of the rock
- Walk into the left-hand corner while spinning and holding towards the wall
- When Mario is spinning and nested in the corner, cap throw
- Hold right on the movement stick to clip back inbounds and land on the moon
Usage
Chomp Through the Rocks Clip is used in low%, mainly in minimum captures. Without this clip, the Madame Broode Skip cascade route would be much slower, requiring either rocksliding or a very precise roll cancel clip.
