Version 1.1.0 is the third version of Super Mario Odyssey, released on November 30, 2017, about a month after the game's initial release. The only change made by the patch was the introduction of Korean language support, and it otherwise functions identically to its predecessor, version 1.0.1. The update that followed, version 1.2.0, introduced a significant number of exploit patches, unlike 1.1.0.
Because they are so similar, versions 1.0.1 and 1.1.0 are often collectively referred to as "version 1.1", which is sometimes slightly misleading.
Since there are game cartridges with a base version of 1.1.0, it is possible to play on this version if one owns such a cartridge by factory resetting the Switch to clear subsequent update data.
