Tree zipping is an unpredictable glitch that can sometimes occur when Mario climbs to the top of a curved tree in the Sand Kingdom or Lost Kingdom. The glitch causes Mario to suddenly teleport in a seemingly random direction while still exhibiting the climbing animation, but often sideways or upside-down.
