Nut Clip is a moon clip that takes place in the Wooded Kingdom tunnel. This particular clip has applications in many speedrun categories, since it allows Mario to collect the Behind the Rock Wall moon from out of bounds without breaking the wall, as well as providing a straightforward path for Mario to reach The Nut that Grew on the Tall Fence afterward.
Reproduction Steps
The steps are sensibly the same as any other Moon Clips.
- Break the nut
- Time a backflip
- Time a cap throw towards the wall properly
Usage in Runs
Any%
This trick brings in an entirely different route for the Wooded Kingdom. You can also use it only to skip the gate which still saves time.
World Peace
Instead of a new route, its just used as a way to skip the lever and get to the cliff moon.
