Min a/bbc (minimum a/b presses and cap throws) is a low% category in Super Mario Odyssey. It is one of the most unforgiving categories in low% and although there is a theoretical any% route, no one has ever completed an any% run. This is due to the fact that it is easy to 'fail' a run. In many other speedrun categories, people will reset if they are not fast enough; however, in min a/bbc people reset if they have failed a requirement in the run. The minimum amount of a/b presses and cap throws required are 207 and 232 respectively. Meaning that if you accidentally press a/b or cap throw, you fail the run and if you miss a single trick at any single point, you fail the run. This is the reason why min/abbc is regarded as such an unforgiving category

The min a/bbc spreadsheet is one of the most edited spreadsheet in all of Super Mario Odyssey speedrunning. It has similar levels of time put into it than well known sheets like the BTT sheet and the minigames community sob sheet. Min A/BBC

Min A/BBC is one of Super Mario Odyssey's Low% categories. In this category, the player must try to beat the game while both pressing A/B as little as possible, and throwing Cappy as little as possible. It should be noted that the cap throw count listed in Archivist Toadette's counters may not be accurate. So far, only Any% has been routed, but an All Unique Moons route is in progress.

In A/BBC, A/B press saves take priority over cap throw saves, although both are kept as low as possible. In other words, we would add an extra 100 cap throws to save 1 A/B press, but we would not press A/B another 100 times to save 1 cap throw. The most common notation for press counts is as follows: __xA/B __xC, where C represents cap throws. Since the creation of the A/BBC spreadsheet on September 23 2018, the Any% counts have been lowered from 199xA/B 210xC down to 196xA/B 237xC, as of Feb 2 2020.

Routes

Although an Any% route has been put together by the Low% community, nobody has successfully completed a run. Community members such as EverythingABC, tetraxile and Icay have put together videos showcasing how certain moons are gotten, or how certain kingdoms are beaten.

In the ongoing All Unique Moons route, only 879 moons are gotten out of the total 880. "Fly, Cappy, Fly" was omitted from the count, as it requires throwing Cappy 5,000 times, and it is not yet known whether the total count for the route will exceed or even come near this number.
