Broode Skip

Broodon't is a 2 player speedrun technique used in minimum captures runs where the player gets to the floating island in cascade kingdom captureless and pre-peace. Broodon't saves 3 individual captures and 1 capture type making it one of the most useful minimum captures strategies.

History

Madame broode skip was discovered by 04dude3 on 10/5/2019 and had been theorized by 04dude3 as far back as 28/4/2019. Performance

Broodon't is notoriously hard so performing it is easier with a second player present. If you have no other person to play with, control cappy with your feet. To perform:

• Go to the triceratops skull at the plateau at the top of the Cascade Kingdom

• Triple jump off the triceratops' rightmost horn

• At the peak of the jump, perform a cap bounce

• Upthrow and navigate cappy on top of the island to roughly where the checkpoint is

• Press Y

• Dive so that you land on the platform with the checkpoint 'On Top of the Big Stump'

• Move Mario to the lower platform beside this platform that has purple coins

• Ledge grab on the side furthest from the water

• Pull Mario back up on to the platform

• Move to the corner that is diagonal to the bowsers kingdom warp painting

• Change to 1 Player mode

• Go into first person mode and look up

• If you did everything right, cappy should have activated the checkpoint

• Warp to the checkpoint and collect the moon
