'''Globe storage''' is a glitch that allows the cutscene that normally plays when placing Cappy on the [[Odyssey]]'s globe to be [[Storage|stored]]. Cappy will remain on the globe while Mario can freely traverse the kingdom, and upon loading the Odyssey (which is normally triggered by pointing the camera at it), the globe cutscene will play, meaning that Mario will be instantly teleported to the Odyssey.

The stored globe cutscene will be activated if the camera is aimed at the Odyssey or Mario moves near the Odyssey. This will teleport Mario to the Odyssey instantaneously.

When you activate the globe normally, all items and captures within a small distance of the odyssey will disappear. However, during globe storage, this effect happens before you actually store the globe. This allows you to bring captures to the odyssey and activate the globe without them disappearing.
